EQAO Grade 6 Assessment (Ontario)

Free EQAO Grade 6 practice questions for Reading, Writing and Math.

What is on the test?

Ontario Grade 6 students write the EQAO Junior Division assessment in Reading, Writing and Mathematics each spring. It is taken online and mixes multiple-choice questions with written responses.

Grade 6 math leans on fractions, decimals, percents and multi-step problems, and reading asks students to support answers with evidence from the text. Results are reported on four levels, with Level 3 as the provincial standard.

Reading

Fiction, information and graphic texts, with answers supported by evidence.

Writing

Organizing a short piece, staying on topic, and correct grammar and punctuation.

Mathematics

Number, algebra and coding, data, spatial sense and financial literacy.
