Florida FAST Test Grade 3

Free Florida FAST practice questions for reading and math, plus B.E.S.T. writing.

Florida students in Grades 1–10 take FAST reading, and Grades 1–8 take FAST mathematics.

What is on the Florida FAST in Grade 3?

Florida's statewide assessment is the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST), built on the B.E.S.T. standards. It is computer-adaptive: the test adjusts as your child answers, so the questions a student sees depend on how they are doing.

Reading is tested from Grade 1 through Grade 10 and mathematics from Grade 1 through Grade 8, with separate B.E.S.T. writing skills in Grades 4–10 and Algebra 1 and Geometry end-of-course exams in high school. Because FAST is adaptive, practising a wide range of question types — and staying accurate early — is what raises the ceiling of the test.

Reading (Grades 1–10)

Foundations such as phonics in the early grades, then vocabulary, literal comprehension and inference in fiction and information texts.

Mathematics (Grades 1–8)

Number and operations, fractions and decimals, measurement and geometry, and algebraic thinking.

B.E.S.T. writing (Grades 4–10)

Plan an evidence-based response, organize a claim and revise sentences. Full essay scoring is not simulated.

Algebra 1 / Geometry EOC

Course-based end-of-course practice for high-school students.
