Georgia Milestones Assessment System

Free Georgia Milestones practice questions for mathematics and English language arts.

What is on the test?

Georgia Milestones tests students in Grades 3–8 in mathematics and English language arts, and high-school students take Milestones end-of-course exams for the courses they complete, such as Algebra: Concepts and Connections and American Literature and Composition. The tests follow Georgia's own standards rather than older Common Core labels.

Most questions are multiple choice, with a few constructed-response and essay items, and results are reported in four achievement levels from Beginning Learner to Distinguished Learner. Because Georgia rewrote its standards recently, practising items written to the current Georgia standards matters more than practising generic grade-level questions.

Mathematics (Grades 3–8)

Number and operations, algebraic thinking, measurement and geometry, and data analysis and modeling.

English language arts (Grades 3–8)

Reading literature and information texts, vocabulary, and writing with evidence and editing.

Algebra: Concepts and Connections EOC

Equations, functions and modeling, with an emphasis on applying algebra to real situations.

American Literature and Composition EOC

Reading original-style excerpts for theme and craft, and writing an evidence-based argument.
