NC EOG / EOC Test Grade 5
Free NC EOG and EOC practice questions for reading and mathematics.
North Carolina students in Grades 3–8 take EOG exams, and high-school students take EOC exams.
North Carolina tests students in Grades 3–8 with End-of-Grade (EOG) exams in reading and mathematics, and high-school students take End-of-Course (EOC) exams for NC Math 1, NC Math 3 and English II. EOG scores count toward promotion decisions in some grade bands.
The tests are taken on a device and mix multiple choice with constructed-response items. EOG reading asks for evidence from passages, and the math tests ask for multi-step solutions, so practising explaining a method in writing is part of the preparation.
